December 8th, 2025 will be remembered for years to come, especially by the senior members of our parish as we celebrated - Cheers to the Years on this day.
With the parish jubilee year approaching, our parish priest Fr. Samuel Ribeiro wanted to organize something very special for multiple cells and associations in Church & he along with the Jubilee Team decided to kick off the Jubilee events by organizing a get-together for Senior Citizens in which all performances would be done by them and all the backstage work will be done by the Jubilee Team.
Mrs. Pamela John and Mrs. Debbie Santamaria helped with the registrations for the event and it was a super show with 45 Seniors registering for the event. The best part - none of them knew what was in store for them. The event was hosted by 2 talented Confirmation students - Ms. Lavina Patekar and Ms. Gilda Mary Louis, it was their first time hosting a Church event and everyone will definitely see more of them in the coming years.

The event started with a prayer and some fun activities. Mr. Augustine Fernandes also spoke about a fun Christmas Article and told everyone about how Christmas is celebrated worldwide. Mrs. Veronica Andrade took charge of the games and all the seniors loved playing the games that were planned for them.
Our talented seniors made sure to make the event memorable by performing songs via karaoke tracks and some unplugged music which got the crowd singing along and grooving to different styles and genres of songs; right from Hindi to English, from slow to fast, from Konkani to Marathi, from romantic to friendship songs and much more. Our youth volunteers made sure that the music session was smooth. Fr. Samuel also performed for all the seniors and stole the show with his singing skills.

Another highlight of the event was a short and sweet Close up magic session by Mr. Robert Lasrado who showed some fun card tricks to the spectators who were amazed and stunned looking at those tricks & were wondering how exactly did that happen.
Overall, the performances brought a smile on everyone's faces and a round of American Housie added to the excitement. Mrs. Pamela John gave a beautiful vote of thanks to thank everyone who made the event special and everyone proceeded to eat food after Fr. Samuel said a prayer and blessed the food.

The seniors left Church with a lot of happiness and with a huge smile on their faces and their priceless smiles made everyone's Monday Blues disappear.
