Our Lenten pilgrimage to Chennai was a grace-filled journey under the guidance of Fr. Samuel Ribeiro and the supervision of Mr. Lourdusamy. A group of 31 pilgrims travelled from Mumbai on 18th March and reached Chennai on 19th March.
We visited the holy places connected with -St. Thomas the Apostle : St. Thomas Mount, where Christianity began in India -Little Mount, where he took shelter
-Santhome Cathedral Basilica, where he was buried
We also visited 12 churches, each one beautiful and spiritually uplifting. The Divine Mercy Church stood out for its wonderful architecture. We spent some joyful moments at Marina Beach, enjoying God’s creation and fellowship together.
This pilgrimage was spiritually enriching and filled our hearts with joy, peace, and happiness. It strengthened our faith and deepened our love for God. We entrusted all the intentions of our families, our communities, and our parish to the Lord.
We thank Almighty God for bringing all of us safely back on 22nd March. May the Holy Spirit help us to carry the fruits of this pilgrimage—love, unity, patience, and holiness—wherever we go.
