Today is the feast of St. Jude and here is a short and sweet article about this beautiful community of our parish and also about their patron saint. St. Jude was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and the patron saint of hopeless and difficult cases. He was a close friend of Jesus and followed him with great faith and love. Even when things were hard, St. Jude never gave up. People pray to St. Jude when they are in trouble, when they are sick, sad, or feel like there is no hope. Many who have asked for his help have seen great blessings and miracles.

In his letter, St. Jude reminds us:

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God” (Jude 1:20–21).

St. Jude teaches us never to lose faith in God, even when life feels impossible. God can make a way where there seems to be no way.

Inspired by the life and teachings, the community members of St. Jude's do their best to make our Church a better place by spreading the values of faith, love, peace, humility and much more in their own way. With around 50 families which are spread across Sectors 6, 7 and Rabale, our community is considered to be a very active community in the Church when it comes to everything. Thanks to blessings of St. Jude, members of our community are actively involved in various cells and associations of the Church, right from PPC to PLC, from cultural to sports, from BCS to CCR, from Youth to Senior Citizens, from Women Cell to Sunday School, from Choir to Ushers, you will find them everywhere. Just like the teachings of St. Jude, our community members never lose faith in God and always trust in his plans & do their best for our Church and fellow parishioners. By God's grace, our community is blessed with many selfless members who help our community to be at the top when it comes to sports events, cultural activities and also spiritual activities without taking any credit for the same. Many events are organized at a community level as well to bring the members together and to help them stay united; these include celebrations like Community Feast, Grandparents Day, Community Picnic and we also do our annual Carol Singing, Rosaries to spread the word of God to one and all. Our Community Feast this year was celebrated on Saturday, 25th October after 7pm mass at the ground floor with a mix of prayers, games, fun activities, dance and dinner. It brought us closer to each other and helped us understand the strength that lies in unity, faith and community bonding. We wish everyone a very happy feast and hope that St. Jude blesses us all with a reminder that when times get tough and things seem impossible, do not lose your faith in God.
