Henry Ford once said - "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." Putting this in context with our Silver Seeds of Faith, it was supposed to be held on the 25th of January, however, the event was cancelled due to less participation. The idea of the event was to enter the jubilee year of our parish together as a family and that did happen on Sunday, 1st February. Our parish priest Fr. Samuel Ribeiro came up with an idea of organizing Silver Seeds of Faith for everyone who originally registered and over 35 members from St. Jude and St. Thomas community showed up with extreme enthusiasm, excitement and energy. Organized by the Jubilee team, the event started after the 9:30am mass & Fr. Samuel kicked it off with a prayer and with a few lines for everyone present, he also mentioned the importance of the event, thanked everyone who helped build this Church, spoke about quality over quantity and gave us an insight of upcoming parish level events too. Up next we had some fun community wise games which required the participation of the entire community. The first game was a fun version of Dog & the bone mixed with brands and taglines with community members having to choose the right product after listening to the tagline of the product. The second game was based on Bollywood with players having to guess the movie name by listening to the translated version of the movie name. The third game was a mix of musical chairs and riddles wherein the community members had to decode the answer for the riddle and then get the object to sit on the chair. The fourth game was about how well our parishioners know our website and many questions were asked about the same. The last game of the event was Housie which was played in the Indian and American way. All games had parishioners laughing, enjoying and they had a lot of fun whilst playing these games especially as a community. The afternoon ended with a fun unplugged jam session of some classic Bollywood songs, the parishioners enjoyed singing along and even showed some good moves whilst the songs were being played. On behalf of everyone attending, Mrs. Pamela John thanked Fr. Samuel and the Jubilee Team for organizing this event and for making parishioners who registered for the original event feel valued. Fr. Samuel then said grace before meals and it was followed was lunch.

Overall, it was another successful event with everyone who attended having a good time and leaving with a bright smile on their faces.
