Grandparents Day Celebration 2026 by St. Jude's Community

"To be loved by a grandparent is to know unconditional love." The author of this quote has been anonymous for years, however, the feeling behind this quote needs no explanation. Grandparents are no less than a treasure and everyone should cherish them along the way. The leadership team and members of St. Jude's community decided to come together and organize a very beautiful Grandparents Day Celebration for all the grandparents who are a part of our community on Monday, July 20th. Although, a day will never be enough to thank grandparents for all they do, our community members tried their best to give the lovely grandparents some memories which will remain forever. The evening saw many grandparents and grandchildren come together along with many members of the core team of St. Jude's Community. A quick introduction to the event made everyone emotional and the opening prayer made every grandparent realize that they are loved by everyone. What followed next was a set of fun games and activities which had everyone on their feet as these games had different elements of fun, thrill and excitement. With special games and spot prizes for grandparents, it truly got their competitive side out as they absolutely cheered for every single round of every single game. Laughter, smiles and happiness were the 3 constants from start till the end and what followed next was the fantastic prize distribution ceremony and a lovely photoshoot. The sweetest part of the day was that every grandparent (single or as a couple) had won at least 1 prize during these games. Every grandparent and grandkid who attended the celebration also received a special gift designed only for them with an idea of making this occasion memorable and to help them look back at this day with a bright smile on their faces. As we read earlier - To be loved by a grandparent is to know unconditional love; and we must admit that making a grandparent happy is definitely one of the best feelings in this world.
