Grandparents' Day Celebration by St. Jude's Community

On the occasion of the Feast of St. Joachim & St. Anne on the 26th of July 2025, our Parish Priest Fr. Samuel Ribeiro spoke about the importance of Grandparents and the impact that they have on their grandchildren & also mentioned about celebrating Grandparents' Day during today's mass. St. Jude's Community (Parishioners from Sectors 6, 7 and Rabale) celebrated this special day in their own way for a 4th year in a row. With 8 Grandparents attending this event (3 of them came with their grandchildren) along with the coordinator, animators and more active community members, this promised to be an exciting and interesting one. The evening started with a prayer and was followed by a fun game of American Housie and some spot prizes for all Grandparents. All Grandparents were felicitated with gifts and the kids attending had a special surprise for them too. It was beautiful to see the smiling faces of the grandparents who had a fun time interacting with each other and at this small event which had a big impact on their day. A lot of photos and videos were taken to cherish these beautiful memories for years to come and community members of St. Jude's hope that Grandparents Day will be celebrated in every community in the same way with a lot of love, care and affection.
