“Children’s children are a crown to the aged and parents are the pride of their children.” – Proverbs 17:6

On a joyful Sunday, our community Children, Grandparents & Animators came together to celebrate Grandparents Day – a day dedicated to honoring wisdom, love & legacy of the grandparents among us.

The celebration began with a special prayer recited by one of the children with words of gratitude for all grandparents – those present, those far away & those who now watch over us from heaven.

The highlight of the day was super innovative memory games organized by our youth & animators where the elderly enjoyed themselves the most. We had a karaoke session of retro songs, an awesome jam session with grandparents reminiscing about their olden times. There was laughter and tears as memories were shared, and blessings received; it was a beautiful sight to witness generations standing together in faith and unity.

We concluded the program with grandparents & kids cutting a special cake. Homemade delicious snacks were served to all. Children handed over handmade cards & crafts & on behalf of the community, we presented special personalized Coffee Mugs to all Grandparents. Since a few aged & sick grandparents couldn’t attend the event, children along with animators personally visited them with cards & gifts, we experienced tears of joy with blessings in abundance.

The day was not just an event but a reminder of strength, faith and values. We are

blessed to have them as our guides, storytellers and prayer warriors. We thank them for being a beacon of love, resilience and grace.
