The St. Vincent De Paul Community (Sectors 19 & 20) joyfully celebrated Grandparent’s Day on the 19th of July 2026, bringing together the grandparents, grandchildren, animators, and community members for a heartfelt evening dedicated to honoring the pillars of our families.

The celebration began with a beautiful opening prayer led by our community coordinator, setting a prayerful and grateful tone for the gathering. As the programme unfolded, grandparents and grandchildren shared treasured stories, cherished childhood memories, and heartwarming experiences that filled the room with laughter, smiles, and a deep sense of nostalgia.

The gathering was a beautiful reminder of the invaluable role grandparents play in shaping our lives through their unconditional love, wisdom, faith, and unwavering support. Their stories bridged generations, strengthening family bonds and inspiring everyone present to treasure the legacy they pass on.

As a token of our love and appreciation, the community presented each grandparent with a small gift as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for their countless sacrifices, guidance, and blessings.

The celebration concluded with hearts full of joy and thanksgiving, reminding us that grandparents are precious gifts from God whose love continues to enrich our families and our faith. May we always cherish, respect, and honor them, not just on Grandparent’s Day, but every day. -Ms. Shanelle Sethi
