Bringing Joy to Every Home : St. Anthony Community Christmas Carolling & Outreach

On 20th and 21st December, around 20 to 25 members of St. Anthony Community, Sector 2 joyfully participated in our annual Christmas caroling outreach, going house-to-house to spread festive cheer among families and homebound members of our community. We visited 31 families in our community who warmly welcomed us creating a connection of joy as we sang Christmas carols in the regional language of each family instead of primarily in English — a change welcomed by the community.
It was especially heart-warming to see children of other faiths light up with excitement upon seeing Santa Claus. Their parents also expressed delight, capturing photos of their children with Santa. Santa gave always sweets to the children which added to the festive spirit.
In addition to carolling, we also extended our care to the sick and homebound members of our community by giving each of them a Christmas cake.
It was a wonderful expression of fellowship, inclusivity, and festive spirit, reflecting our community’s commitment of coming together. -Daphne Rego
